I have a dream

英文寫作是我的一大嗜好。寫作時在腦袋中挑選符合意念的字詞,輕聲唸出字詞,感受嘴形隨之變化的感覺。我愛英文!

I Have A Dream
Everybody has their own dreams. Some people dream that they can help people in need and make society better; some dream that they can discover the alternative energy, helping human beings thrive on earth; some just dream that they can travel around the world or become a rich person.
I have my own dream. I am not saying that I have that much power to exchange the world or to get to an extreme in some fields. All I concern is the lives we’re living, our lives in this school, which we all are proud of. Yes, my dream is to make our school lives better and more colorful.
You might be confused. Why on earth there’s such an un satisfactory person, who ask more than what we all ready have now? We have good teacher, hard-working students, and air-conditioner (which makes a perfect learning environment.) We have abundant learning resources, clubs time. What else do I ask for?
All I ask for is an environment where we can fulfill our physical and mental needs. Surely there’s no problem in the teaching or lessons, but the ignorance of our basic needs may lower the efficiency of learning. For example, it should be a happy thing to take swimming lessons in a hot summer days. But most of the time, students are forced to go to the swimming pool. Why? Because the floor of the swimming pool is dirty and horrible-smelled, and sometimes there are cockroach found in the pool. When you leave the swimming pool with a frustrated mind, you can wash away the dirty without shampoo or soap. That really swept away our desire of learning swimming. I dream that one day the school will care more about the qualities of these details, which seem trivial but actually important to us. After all, we are the ones who are using the equipment.
Besides, I dream that our studies won’t be that heavy. I dream that we can have more free time to explore things out of the textbooks, understanding things which we’re really interested in, understanding the nature, and most importantly, understanding ourselves. Important though the studies are, we still need to figure out what kind of person we are, what we want to become. If we don’t know who we are, we’ll never cherish our thinkings and consciences. If we don’t know what right we have, we’ll have to obey the unreasonable rules such as bringing athletics uniform to school instead of wearing them directly. (For who set up the roles? Teachers! And who is suffering from it? Us! ) If we don’t know what we want to become, we’ll always be monkeys, imitating what others taught us. I we can’t think on our own and tell right from wrong, we’ll become the illness of the society, who have intelligence and no moral, unscrupulously fulfill our lure of fame and personal benefits. These are the reasons why I hope the school will focus on personalities and independent thinking.
I dream that we can have wonderful school lives, because I firmly believe that education is the most important things in lifetime. If our school brings up really good girls who have good personalities and intelligence, the beneficiaries will be not only the students themselves but the whole society and our country.
